The East Riding Safeguarding Children Partnership (ERSCP) oversees and co-ordinates all of the work undertaken within the East Riding to keep children safe. It is a partnership between the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Humberside Police and the East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group working alongside other relevant agencies. Read more about the ERSCP. A63 Road Closures

We have received the following communication from National Highways regarding proposed roadworks on the A63: Advance notice of roadworks – A63 We’re getting in touch to let you know we’ll soon be carrying out essential maintenance work on the A63 between North Cave and South Cave, in both directions (but not at the same time), completing this work will mean smoother and safer journeys for customers. We plan to start work on Monday 14 November and aim to complete in December. We’ll be working overnight between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday. We cannot complete this work in harsh weather;

Cold Callers

Please see the following message we have received from EYRC regarding cold callers. Please pass this on to friends and neighbours: East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Trading Standards Services as received reports of Nottingham Knockers cold calling in East Riding villages. You may know this group as ‘duster sellers’. They are normally young males carrying large bags full of cleaning products which they offer for sale door-to-door.  This approach is believed to have started in the Nottingham area,  hence the term ‘Nottingham Knockers’. Unfortunately, as well as selling everyday items at inflated prices, they may also be looking for suitable targets

The meeting organised by EYRC on the 8th September to discuss the traffic calming measures for Blanshards Lane and Lower Church Street has now been cancelled. EYRC have not given us a reason for this cancellation. We’ll let you know as soon as it has been rearranged.
