Traffic in the village

We understand that one of the main concerns of residents in the village is the traffic and it is one that we share; it is discussed in length at all meetings, actions are placed on ERYC and yet we continue to find ourselves with no support or resolution.  During the summer we saw increased traffic from the much publicised Great British Staycation with our East Riding towns and villages benefiting from the increased footfall, but in the process our village was and continues to be used as a supposed short cut to the coast. Village initiatives

It is great that the parish council meetings have resumed in person at the village hall and even better that we could welcome members of the public back at this month’s meeting.  The Parish Council is currently carrying out several feasibility studies into initiatives in the village and we would really welcome your feedback and input.  We are able to apply for funding through various grants or conduct further feasibility studies. Suggestions to the table so far include a cinema night, a youth club, weekend nature walks, a bridge club, a village flag pole, dance evenings, an avenue of trees

Humberside Police Concert Band – Recruitment

This year marks the 160th anniversary of Humberside police Concert Band since their formation in the September of 1861. It is believed that this makes it the oldest surviving Police Band in the Country, if not the world. They are currently looking for new musicians to join them.
