We have received the following email from Guide Dogs for the Blind. Linda sent some additional documents so if you are interested let us know.

Good Afternoon

My name is Linda Conway and am the Volunteer Coordinator for Guide Dogs for the Blind – Hull Community Team.

I am contacting from Guide Dogs for the Blind to enquire if you would be able to promote a volunteering opportunity on your social media or newsletter, please.

We are currently recruiting Puppy raisers in the Beverley area and would really appreciate your assistance in helping promote these roles. Puppy raisers help raise our future Guide Dogs that make a difference to the lives of people living with sight loss.

Every day 25 people in the UK start to lose their eyesight.
The number of people is set to double by 2050 and the need for our services is growing.
Less than 1% of our income comes from Government Funding.

We are recruiting for Puppy raisers in North Cave.

We offer :
Full training
24/7 support
Vet’s costs
All food supplied

The services we offer :

Orientation & Mobility Service
Children & Young People’s Services
My Sighted Guide
Technology
Influencing & Campaigns
Research
Canine Assisted Services which include, our Guide Dogs and Buddy Dogs

Without our volunteers support we could not do the work we do to support people living with sight loss.

If you would like to discuss further, and have further details and photographs for social media or a newsletter please do not hesitate to contact me

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards

Linda
